This coffee is grown by Juliana Guevara at Finca La Terraza, her farm at 1,900 meters in La Argentina, Huila. Juliana and her husband, Wbeimar Lasso, co-founded Terra Coffee, an association that helps local producers earn better prices through cupping services, consultations, and training on farming and processing. On their own farm, they experiment with a wide range of varieties and refine the techniques they later share with the group. This lot is their take on Chiroso, a variety with recent African roots that first gained attention after winning the Colombian Cup of Excellence in 2014 and reached Huila in 2019, where Juliana has worked closely to adapt it to her soil.

Juliana Guevara and her husband Wbeimar Lasso work La Terraza at 1,900 meters in La Argentina, Huila. It is also the proving ground for Terra Coffee, the producer association they co-founded to bring cupping, training and fairer prices to the growers around them. On their own land they keep what they call the encyclopedia of varieties: Gesha, Pink Bourbon, Yellow Bourbon, Sidra, Pacamara and Chiroso have all found a home there.
