Where is our coffee sourced from?

Our coffee is sourced directly from our family farm in La Mesa, Cundinamarca, where we oversee every step of cultivation and harvesting to ensure exceptional quality. Additionally, we work with a cooperative of coffee farmers in Ibagué, Tolima, allowing us to offer a wider selection of exotic and rare coffee varieties while supporting sustainable farming communities in the region.

How should I store our coffee?

To maintain peak freshness and flavor:
- Keep our coffee in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
- Store it in an airtight container after opening.
- Avoid refrigerating or freezing, as condensation can affect the beans’ integrity.

Do we offer whole bean or ground coffee?

We offer both whole bean and ground coffee. For the freshest experience, we recommend purchasing whole beans and grinding them just before brewing.

What brewing methods work best with our coffee?

Our coffee is versatile and performs exceptionally well with various brewing methods, including:
- Espresso – For a rich and bold extraction.
- French Press – For a full-bodied and smooth taste.
- Pour-Over – To highlight the coffee’s intricate flavors and aromas.
- Drip Coffee Maker – A convenient and consistent option for daily enjoyment.

What is the recommended coffee-to-water ratio?

For the best flavor, we recommend a 1:16 coffee-to-water ratio—one part coffee to sixteen parts water. A standard guideline is:
- Pour-Over & Drip Coffee: 1-2 tablespoons (15-30g) of coffee per 8oz (240ml) of water.
- French Press: 1:15 ratio (e.g., 30g coffee for 450ml water).
- Espresso: A standard shot follows a 1:2 ratio—18g of coffee yielding 36g of liquid espresso.

How fresh is our coffee when shipped?

We roast our coffee in small batches and do not keep a large inventory. We ship it within days of roasting to ensure optimal freshness. For the best experience, we recommend consuming our coffee within 2-4 weeks of receiving it.

Is our coffee organic?

Yes, our coffee is organically grown, without synthetic pesticides or chemicals. We prioritize sustainable farming and natural processing methods to preserve both quality and environmental integrity.

Where do we ship?

We ship from Florida to all locations within the United States, using trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, and FedEx.

How long does shipping take?

Orders are processed within 2 business days and typically arrive within 3-7 business days, depending on your location and the selected shipping method.

What if my order arrives damaged?

While we take great care in packaging, if your order arrives with a damaged or punctured bag, please contact us immediately with photo proof (contact@musacoffee.com), and we will arrange a replacement.
